The FZ1 ($2195 list) is a keyboard sampling instrument featuring 16 bit sample resolution. Sampling time is 14.5 seconds at 36kHz with 2 slower sampling rates allowing longer times. An optional memory expansion doubles the available RAM memory. The panel features a backlit 'wide graphic LCD' for monitoring waveforms and other duties. The FZ-1 allows up to 64 samples, with 8 programmable settings (key split & other keybaord data). 8 voices are available on the velocity sensing keyboard, and each voice can be assigned midi channels.
The FZ-10M is a rack mount version of the Casio FZ1 sampling keyboard with 2 megabyte memory capacity, and the same 16 bit format with 8 voice polyphony. Features include up to 64 samples / 8 presets per load, 8 stage filters & amplifiers, graphic LCD screen, 8 mono outputs / 1/4" & XLR mix outs, sampling rates from 9kHz to 36kHz, sampling times from 116.4 to 29.1 seconds.
The FZ20M rack mount sampler features include 8 voice polyphony, 16 bit linear sampling capabilities with two megabytes of memory, SCSI interface port, 64 x 96 dot matrix back lit LCD, and more. Other functions are very similar to the FZ10M rack sampler currently available. The VZ8M is a one space rack mount 8 voice synthesizer based on the tone generation system (IPD) available on their other VZ series instruments. The VZ8M also features modes for keyboard, wind, or guitar midi control. A larger version was also shown (VZ-10M) that also includes a large LCD screen and 16 voice polyphony. Of course, Casio also showed many new portable keyboards, a new version DH-200 digital horn, and tone & midi guitars.
