The K1 (list $799) is a sampled waveform (wavetable) type synthesizer available in keyboard or rack mount versions. The K1 contains 256 PCM waveforms (50 are sampled instrument waveforms) with up to 4 waveforms that can be combined per sound. Features include sampled sounds such as piano, electric bass, & percussion, multi-timbral operation via midi, split & layering, 61 note velocity & pressure sensitive keyboard (K1), 64 patch single or 32 patch combinations, velocity switching, 16 X 2 backlit LCD, and stereo outputs. The K1R is identical in features to the K1m module debuted at Winter NAMM but in a rack mount package. The K1R is a PCM sampled waveform module with 8 / 16 voice polyphony. For a further description, see our February report.

the K1-II improves upon the original K1 with the addition of a built-in reverb and enhanced drum machine capabilities. 8 multi-timbral channels plus drums will be possible. All existing K1 sounds will be fully compatible with the K1-II. A one space rack mount version is also available (K1r-II)
