Both models feature attack and release velocity / channel & poly pressure sensitive keyboards, a 240x64 pixel backlit graphics LCD display, 6 soft function keys, midi joystick controller for control of 4 separate midi parameters, 6 programmable performance sliders, 4 programmable expression pedal inputs, 8 programmable switch controllers, 8 programmable footswitch inputs, pitch bend / modulation and midi volume wheels, 32 preset velocity curves + 16 user programmable curves, 8 programmable overlapping zones with 4 programmable note layers per zone, independent velocity scaling & midi effects section per zone, General Midi and Roland GS compatible, 2 midi inputs, 4 midi outputs, 2 midi thrus, midi merge and filter per input, extensive midi mapping, 255 programmable performance memories, and 16 programmable input map setups. The MS7000 features a piano feel weighted action keyboard while the MS8000 features a piano lever action.

The MS6 are rack mount true analog synthesizer modules with what Cheetah describes as "original filter circuitry of the 'old greats' from the USA". The MS6 features 320 ROM / 96 programmable patches, 64 programmable performance memories, 6 voice polyphony, 2 oscillators & 2 envelopes per voice, midi in/out/thru, midi overflow, and a 1 space rack mount chassis. The MS6-II also features stereo audio outputs, aux inputs for audio chaining, and a built in effects processor. The effects include reverbs, stereo echo, 2 tap stereo echos, gated reverb, delays, and a dark/normal filter setting.
