STAR SWITCH

Combining the characteristics of both keyboard and guitar, the StarrSwitch Datapump 620 is a revolutionary type of MIDI guitar controller with some novel software features. The six strings have been replaced with six "strings" of twenty keys located along a tapered neck.

The keys themselves have been designed to have a light but positive action to make the best use of the guitar technique already acquired by the player. This approach immediately eliminates the problems associated with tracking a vibratin~ strin~ to convert its pitch. Also, because the instrument is really a keyboard, some interesting setup options are available which can lend different characterics of style to your playing.

The fingerboard has four basic modes of operation: 1 ) GUITAR MODE/TRIGGERS-OFF outputs the highest fretted note on each "string" by pressing the fingerboard keys only. Only one hand is required to play a note.
