DW-6000 - This programmable 6-voice polyphonic synthesizer features Korg's new DWGS, the "Digital Waveform Generator System." It has two digital oscillator modules with a selection of eight waveforms each. These waveforms are stored in two 256Kbit ROM chips. Unlike the simple sawtooth and square waves of conventional synthesizers, these waveforms are digitally encoded recordings having complex harmonic structures for realistic sound creation. On the other hand, the VCF and VCA are analog for easy, speedy access. It's the best of both worlds-analog speed and convenience plus distinctive digital sound quality.

You also have two ADBSSR 6-parameter envelope generators for VCF and VCA respectively. 64 sound programs can be stored and instantly selected from internal memory. POLY and UNISON key assign modes can be included in programs. The Program up function can operated by foot switch (or other trigger signal), so you can change sounds without taking your fingers off the keys. Portamento, white noise, and stereo chorus effects are all included. MIDI is standard so you can control the DW6000 from other MIDI equipment (even a personal computer) or vice versa. A fast tape interface lets you store any amount of program data on cassettes.

Korg's DW-8000 is a 61-key, 8-voice programmable polyphonic synthesizer built to give you sonic excellence for full musical expression. The secret is DWGS, Korg's Digital Waveform Generator System. Samples of real instrument sounds are reproduced by harmonic additive synthesis from digital data stored in four 256Kbit ROM chips. You have 16 waveforms available in each of two oscillator banks. Not only do you get me strong attack characteristics of digital, but also an array of analog waveforms including sawtooth, square, and sine for rich ensemble effects. Both the VCF and VCA sections are analog for easy control and fast adjustment. It all adds up to a synthesizer that can give you remarkably complex sounds with unusually simple operation world's first built-in programmable digital delay.

The DW-8000 has its own built-in digital delay circuitry_a world's first . that makes this sensational synthesizer even more special. Maximum delay time is 512ms and delay effect settings can be stored individually with each programmed sound. Chorus, flanging, doubling, short and long delays are all available and stereo connections enable optimum effectiveness. The DW-8000 has it all.

velocity and pressure sensitive keyboard. - The DW-8000 uses a new kind of keyboard that is sensitive to how hard you play and how hard you press after you play the keys. The "initial touch" (key velocity) can determine not only the volume but also the tone color. Pitch modulation is possible in "real time"." With all this, you can really express yourself naturally, It's a keyboard mat's easier to play, more sensitive and responsive to your playing ability.

Auto-Bend Ettect for Extra Variety This automatically bends the reproduced pitch towards the correct pitch of the depressed key. Bends are possible up or down as much as one octave and bend time can be set from 25msec to 6.4sec.This effect can be applied to either or both oscillators. This feature is particularly valuable for synthesizing horn and voice effects. Just one more example of me amazing technology incorporated in me DW-8000.

64-Note Arpeggiator & Porlamento With this advanced feature you can create automatically arpeggiated sequences of notes. These phrases, melodies or patterns can be up to 64 notes long and are determined simply by the order in which you play the notes. Arpeggio speed can be externally controlled for synchronization with a MIDI clock signal from a sequencer, rhythm machine, or another synthesizer. Portamento can be switched on and off by a foot switch

Full MIDI System Communication The DW-8000 is MIDI equipped with MIDI THRU as well as MIDI IN and MIDI OUT jacks. You can hook up the DW-8000 to other MIDI equipment including synthesizers, rhythm machines, sequencers, and MIDI interfaced computers. You can select any MIDI channel from one through sixteen on the front panel. Program change, channel pressure (after touch), and pitch bends are all supported for transmission and reception. The DW-8000 is ready for today's and tomorrow's music. List $1195.00
