Since it's introduction in Late 1983, the DX7 has become a standard instument in keyboard setups. Yamaha continues the DX7 with two new models. The DX7II features the same 6 operator / 32 algorhithm format, but now keyboard splits & layers are possible.

Another member of the DX7 FM synthesizer family, the DX7s features an improved 6 operator, 32 algorithm system as used in the DX7IID/FD for cleaner sound output and greater precision. Programming is the same, but without split / layering or stereo outputs. Features include
