The EX-8000 is an 8-voice synthesizer module with the incredible sound of Korg's original D.W.G.S. (Digital Waveform Generator System) technology. 64-Program memory stores all sound parameters including digital delay effects (up to 512ms). No longer do you have to manually select the delay for each song. Now the delay setting is included in the sound. Responds to MIDI key velocity and channel pressure data. So you get the full benefits of "initial touch" and "after touch" on a keyboard like the DW-8000. Both volume dynamics and tone color can be controlled by how you play the keys; pitch modulation is also possible.

New "Key window" feature lets you restrict EX-8000 response to a particular range of the keyboard. With another EX-8000 or other unit with key windowing, you can then create split and zoned keyboard and layering effects, even if the controlling keyboard has no split capability. The "A4" button gives a reference pitch so you can tune the EX-8000 even if you are not connected to a keyboard. This also enables simple editing and patch setup.

To tell whether a MIDI signal is being received correctly, just check the MIDI INDICATOR. Front panel tape interface facilities enhance convenience, especially when the unit is rack-mounted.
