FORAT F16 ($2495 - $5000+)

A rack mount sampling percussion module system, the F16 is a full 16 bit sampler with 96 dB of dynamic range and a choice of 1 to 16 voice modules. Each module is a 16 bit playback circuit that has 512K of ram memory, volume, panning, and pitch controls. Sampling rate may be varied from 10 to 60 kHz.

At 50 kHz, the user can sample for up to 6 seconds, or chain up to 8 modules for 3.5 minutes at lower rates. An 8 module expansion chassis (optional) allows up to 7 minutes. Triggering can be either from midi or standard drum triggers, and sounds can be saved to disk.

The basic unit with 1 module is $2495, with additional modules at approximately $600 each.
