SOUNDS
For each of the 128 General Midi Sounds and the 16 Custom Sounds (loadable from Floppy Disk) there are 4 variations available thus giving 720 Sound variations: the 4th variation is editable. With the Expansion Memory Board (optional) it is possible to add 2Mb of new samples. The sounds are enriched with 16 different types of Master Effects and with 3 other special contemporary effects for each sound.
EASY PLAY
Up to 512 different musical settings are available. A simple control gives, for each style, 8 different configurations of Rhythm, Arrangement and Sounds, either for the right or for the left hand.
STYLES
64 musical styles structured into 7 parts (Intro, Verse, Chorus 1, Chorus 2, Ending, Break and Fill In), each with 4 variations, of which the fourth is editable. It is possible to load 8 custom styles at a time by floppy disk, up to a maximum of 64 which will substitute all the factory styles.
PIANO BAR
Thanks to the extraordinary ability to recognize chords, across the whole keyboard, piano players will be able to play with their normal style and technique, using all the instruments' capabilities whilst accompanied by rhythms and arrangements.PROGRAMS
96 different user programs, which remember whole keyboard set ups, styles, voices etc..., can be stored and each program can be saved and loaded from floppy disk.SOUND PADS
The 4 sound Pads enable you to play drum sounds or special effects. These pads can also be programmed with the same functions as switch pedals. In this way, for example, one Pad can control the Sustain and another one the Slow/Fast of a Leslie.MICROPHONE INPUT/OUTPUT
You can connect a mike or any other instrument to the special jack socket provided with Sensitivity control. The ANALOG signal is digitized and processed as any other sound. Thanks to two specific "AUX OUTPUTS" the mike INPUT can be separately connected to the external mixer.VOCODER / HARMONIZER
The built-in Vocal Harmony Processor produces exciting and unique singing and harmony performance with Vocoder and Harmonizer effects. By connecting the mike directly to the G7, the DSP (Digital Signal Processor) harmonizes the lead voice in a choir. The singer becomes part of a four singer's group! The lead voice is driven by the notes played on the keyboard, or through a special track on the sequencer. If you like to sing, even if you cannot sing in tune, the VHP corrects your voice giving perfect tuning. Furthermore, with the "Vocal Follower" feature the singer's voice pitch is recognized and three voices or three orchestral sounds are added, beautifully harmonized.DISK DRIVE
The G series uses floppy disks of 1,4 Mb and 720KB in DOS or ATARI format, for writing or reading.
SEQUENCER
The "16 Track Sequencer" section enables you to listen and to EDIT Songs in Standard Midi File format 0 and 1. The sequencer is very powerful and sophisticated in "professional" use, yet extremely easy in the PLAY functions. To listen to the songs just insert a G.M. disk and press the Play button. Using the NEXT and PREVIOUS buttons, you can pass from one song to another without pause, thanks to the Multitasking operative system of the Loading While Playing feature. In the SONG window the Karaoke function shows the Iyrics on the display in synchronization with the music.The G7 reads the Iyrics of most Standard Midi File disks available. In the SONG window there are the following functions
- MEDLEY, which creates a list of pieces to play in sequence
- MONITOR, that modifies, in real time, the volume and sound of the single track or mutes it;
- TOOLS, which has functions such as Mixer, Demixer and Copy
- RECORD for recording
- TRACK EDIT, which shows and modifies the MIDI events
- SONG PARAMETERS, which changes the Song parameters.
