This is an incredible 4-voice polyphonic synthesizer unit, much like the GR-300. you can use it as easily as playing a regular electric bass and get a versatile selection of tones. It enables you to reproduce the subtle vibrations and other qualities of the bass guitar which a keyboard synthesizer could not do, and such features as VCF, VCA, two Envelope Generator lines and LFO, let you create sounds which couldn't be pro duced by anything else.

  • Having a BASS sound duet" By adding VCO pitch sounds set at pitch A and pitch B, you can get a rich one note, 2 VCO-like duet sound.
  • 2-line envelope generator" The 2-line Envelope Generator set on the unit controls both the VCF and VCA, VCF is for tone quality, and VCA is for sound volume, with the VCF turned on, a "wow" effect will occur at every picking, and with ~e VCA turned on, you can get a varied _,ne difference of the volume. You can also preset each line of the Enve lope Generator at different positions.
  • Electronic vibrato effect" GR-33B is characterized by the electronic vibrato at the LFO section of the RATE and DELAY, although of course, you can get hand vibrato by fingering as well. Press touch plate A for vibrato effect, and touch plate B for turning off the effect, or just to get temporary vibrato effect.
  • Master tuning" Tunes the pitch of the QUAD VCO to the pitch of the strings.
  • String selector" Only the strings turned "ON" will produce a VCO sound. You can use it in various ways, such as using the VCO sound for the No. 1 and 2 strings, and using normal sounds for the other two.
  • Pitch A and pitch B" You can tune the pitch of the QUAD VCO sound within a range of +1300 Cent. Use the foot switch to switch between pitch A and B.
  • Latch/unlatch switch" Every time you step on the Pitch A, B foot switch, it will go on and off (LATCH), or you can have it to be ON as long as you're stepping on it (UNLATCH).
  • LFO rate, LFO delay'' RATE determines the speed of vibrato and DELAY determines the time required for Delay vibrato effect to take place.
  • VCF filter mode and envelope modula tion". This Filter Mode switch is to vary the qualities of the filter. At "A" (-24dB), the sound is sharp, and is effective when using VCF modulation. At "B" (-12dB), it vvill produce a bright sound. The depth of the "wow" effect caused by the ENVELOPE MODULATION is cont rolled by the ENVELOPE MOD control.
