Imagine being able to treat all of your CD players, VCRs, camcorders, laser disc players and DAT machines as if they were midi devices.
The InfraMidi Equator accomplishes this feat by using note commands to "play" IR codes that are transmitted to IR compatible equipment. A type of "IR sampler", any midi keyboard or controller can be used. Pressing the sustain pedal and any note of the midi device allows the InfraMidi Equator to record an IR code fired toward it from any remote control. That note is than used to "play back" that IR code. Features include a memory capacity of 120 IR codes, Sys/Ex implementation, and Epi-Grafs "power midi" jack - two 7 pin connectors (in/out) that allows midi and power to the unit in the same cable.
We wonder if there may be a midi toaster out there somewhereI
