The MFC42 is the long-awaited realtime analog filter module for the MPC60, MPC3000, and MPC20OO/MPC2000XL. Designed to supercharge your sequences into another dimension, the 3 channel/dual filter MFC42 is optimized for stereo drum plus mono bass loops, but it will juice-up just about any analog source. It even has turntable inputs. The MFC's edgy filter slopes, with interactive resonance control, enhance the MPC's legendary voicing. Large, dedicated control knobs simplify realtime writing of filter control movements to your MPC's sequencer. Interactive Independence -The M FC42 provides 1 x stereo channel and 1 x mono channel. Each channel is independent, but you can use LINK or INVERT to determine how the channels interact. LINK lets the controls of the mono channel affect the stereo channel, while INVERT allows the control of the mono channel to have the opposite effect on the stereo channel. For example, increasing the cutoff frequency knob of the mono channel will cause the cutoff frequency to be decreased on the stereo channel.

• Switch In, fly - Toggle switches allow immediate switching of filter types with no need to step through any unwanted choices.
  
• Pole position - 2-pole and 4-pole curves are available on the stereo channel, while 2- pole, 4-pole, and even 8-pole curves are available on the mono channel.
  
• Filter Control - Dedicated controls for the cut-off frequency and resonance allow real- time sound shaping - from sub-sonic to extreme weirdness.
  
• Maximum Modulation - One LFO (low frequency oscillator) and EG (envelope generator) can be assigned to either channel for real-time changes. You can even sync the LFO to external MIDI Clock to match the tempo of your beat.
  
• Tap Into It - It's also possible to control the LFO speed using Tap Tempo and Beat Sync. Beat Sync lets you set the duration of the LFO/envelope when using the tap tempo feature.
  
• Phase out - When using the stereo channel, you can shift the LFO phase between the left/right outputs.
  
• Phono input - Connect your turntable directly to the MFC42 and customize the groove.
  
• Pull the Trigger - A Trigger button allows instant filter triggering - no keyboard required.
  
• Effects - Built-in distortion, a stereo analog phaser, and EQ provide additional sound shaping tools.
  
• In Control - Use MIDI Control Change messages to control most functions on the MFC42.
