The MS1 digital sampler is a dedicated desktop phrase-sampling unit featuring 16 bit sampling and what Roland calls R-DAC (Roland Digital Audio Coding) technology for extended sampling times without compromising the original sound quality. Features include

Four sampling rates are available from 16kHz (49.2 seconds) to 44.1kHz (17.8 seconds), 384 KB internal memory (expandable using external PCMCIA ATA type II cards), 4 voice polyphony, one sequence track with 1000 note capacity, stereo audio input and output, midi in & out, battery operation (optional AC adaptor available), more. The MS1 also includes an audio CD of drum loops, sound FX and human voices (500 samples).
