The Prophet 2000 is an 8 voice professional quality sampling keyboard based on 12 bit digital recording technology. Once you've sampled a sound (or selected one from our library of pre recorded factory disks), you can modify it by using the many digital, analog, and keyboard controls provided. Each voice features a 4 pole, low pass VCF, a VCA, and velocity controlled, four stage envelopes. You can assignb multiple samples (up to 16) anywhere on the keyboard.
By assigning two or more samples to the same keyboard range you can create layered sounds and multiple voice stacks for unison effects. A 5 octave velocity sensitive keyboard provides you with control over loudness, modulation amount, timbre, sample start points and crossfading between two separate sounds, and more. The Prophet 2000 also comes with multiple wavetables stored in on-board memory for building "traditional" synth sounds. The on-board 3.5" disk drive provides storage for sounds and custom programs.

The Prophet 2002 is a rack mount version of the Prophet 2000 sampling synthesizer. Features include a double sided 3.5" floppy disk drive, arpeggiator, 12 bit resolution, variable sampling rates from 41.667 kHz - 15.625kHz, 1 VCA, VCF, LFO per voice, maximum of 8 seconds x 2 sampling time (expandable to 16 seconds with ram option), midi keyboard range of 88 notes, velocity routable to 8 destinations, and much more.
