POLY 800 - The Poly 800 is a compact 8 voice polyphonic programmable analog synthesizer keyboard. There are 64 program locations available with 50 parameter control (either midi or tape output/input of patch data), built-in polyphonic sequencer, on-board programmable stereo chorus, a 4 way joystick that controls pitch bend, bibrato, and filter mod, battery power or AC operation, headphone jack, and the Poly 800 is only 13 lbs.
POLY 800mkII - To create the POLY-80011 Korg added programmable digital delay and equalization to our 8-voice, 64 program memory compact synth. So you can store delay settings with your 64 sound patches. Chorus, doubling, short and long echo effects... whatever you desire. Equalization settings get stored too.
So you can preset each sound with just the bass and treble boost or roll-off that is needed. Ada sparkle to strings, brass, and harpsichord sounds. Generate rumbling low-range tuba and organ. The POLY- 800's easy-to-use sequencer is polyphonic and can store up to 1000 notes for automatic playback. Switch from the 11 one time mode" to the "repeat mode" for repetitive bass lines and arpeggios. MIDI input/output facilities and selectable send/receive channels let you control (or be controlled by) other MIDI equipment.
The two oscillator modules use DCO (digital controlled oscillator) circuitry for high pitch stability. The three digital envelope generator (DEG) sections utilize 6-parameter ADBSSR to enable double decays (like a piano) and other complex contours. Operates on AC or batteries. Has strap lugs to fasten a shoulder strap for active stand up use.

The EX-800 is a programmable synth-module that works as a sound source for any MIDI keyboard (DW8000, Poly-80011, RK100, etc.) or other MIDI control device such as computer or synthesizer. For real versatility, it responds to eight kinds of MIDI data: key data, pitch bends, modulation, sequencer clock, program change, volume, computer dump, and active sensing. The MIDI THRU jack allows series connection with additional EX-800s or other MIDI units.
This is an easy way to add extra musical power to your system with but a small investment. The EX-800 has eight voices, 64-program memory, and a built-in 256-step polyphonic sequencer. Dual DCOs and triple ADBSSR DEGs permit rich tonal variation and flexible envelope shaping. There's even a tape interface.
