The Prommer is a mono sampler / EPROM burner and may be up for "The Longest Prototype In History" award, first shown at last summers NAMM as the DMS, this year's winter NAMM, and then again this Summer as the PROMMER. Final specs are now available with shipments about ready to start.
- Features include variable sampling rates from 12kHz to 32kHz
- sampling times up to 5.46 seconds (8 bit companding format)
- up to 16 samples can be stored internally (addressable via midi)
- +/- 4 octave transposions (12 octaves using external midi controller)
Extensive editing of sampled sounds includes envelope, reverse, mix blocks, ring modulate blocks, stretch & squash (?), bet mask and modify individual bytes. Edited sounds can be stored on EPROMS via the included EPROM burner with over 10 different EPROM chips supported. Chips can be made for almost any drum machine that accepts individual chip sounds, and sounds (or data) can be read and then saved as well.
