PROPHET 600 reflects the quality of sound and correctness of features which have made Prophet synthesizers the standard of comparison for polyphonic synthesizers. The PROPHET 600 features the same stable oscillators and accurate computer tuning found in the Prophet-5.
Fully programmable, the PROPHET-600 stores 100 programs which are quickly and easily accessible. Any program in memory can be modified (edited) by altering any knob or switch setting, which in stantly shifts control of that parameter from computer memory to the front panel. Other performance features include a polyphonic real-time sequencer with non-volatile memory, variable dual-mode arpeggiator (latchable), polyphonic glide, and chord tracking.
The PROPHET 600 has four major back panel functions: audio output, suitable for headphones as well as amplifiers; cassette interface for program or sequence storage on tape; multi-function foot switch jack which will latch chords in Unison/Track mode, latch the arpeggiator or external arpeg giator clock pulse input, and control sequencer Stop, Record, and Playback functions.
