Alesis QCards are powerful, innovative sound expansions for the Alesis QS Series or QuadraSynth® synthesizers. Employing the PCMCIA format, a standard for personal computers and other high-tech tools, QCards are designed to complement the wide variety of internal samples, programs and multitimbral mixes found on Alesis keyboards and sound modules. Each card provides hundreds of exciting new sounds that cater to many specific musical styles. All the samples on QCards are carefully constructed from non-compressed 16-bit linear master-quality samples, created using the professional 48kHz sampling rate for better-than-CD audio quality. Then, each sample is crafted by the industry's leading programmers into program and mix information using state-of-the-art synthesizer voicing. This attention to detail means that the samples all offer high sonic fidelity...acoustic instruments sound more clear and realistic, electronic timbres sound more rich and full than those found on less advanced expansion formats. In addition to hundreds of new samples, each QCard provides 128 Programs and 100 Mixes laid out and ready to use. Since QCards are completely self-referencing, they are 100% plug-and-play. You don't have to install complicated circuit boards or spend time waiting for sounds to download from a disk...up to 8 megabytes of new sounds per card are instantaneously accessible, and can be used in conjunction with the thousands of internal sounds from your Alesis synth. Included with each QCard are two supplemental disks for Macintosh and Windows computers, each containing 256 additional Programs, 200 Mixes and the Alesis FreeLoader application for easy download of new sounds to your Alesis synth.

EURODANCE QCard™ not currently available The 8 Megabyte EuroDance QCard offers every sound you need to create maximum-power dance productions and remixes. Whether you're into Techno, Trance, Ambient, Industrial or House music, the EuroDance QCard offers an intense collection of flowing drum and bass grooves, mind-blowing noise bursts and filter sweeps, resonant synth waves, classic drum samples and much more. The card gives you almost 300 high-quality drum and rhythm loops as well as instrument and noise samples that will inspire your creativity for structured techno beats, hypnotic trance grooves, frantic club rhythms and most other dance music styles of the late '90s. Taking you from the trendiest clubs of London and Berlin to private all-night raves, this card provides dozens of fat synth waves and fx, house pianos and organs, smooth FM bass sounds, vintage drum machine sounds, and looped drum kits. VINTAGE SYNTHESIZERS AND CLASSIC BEATBOXES QCard™ not currently available The Alesis 8 Megabyte Vintage Synthesizers and Classic Beatboxes QCard contains the groovy synth sounds and lo-fi drum hits from the dawn of the age of electronic music. All of your favorite analog synthesizers from the late '60s through the mid '80s are represented in their best form, so you can expect the classic fat, warm and rich waveforms that these tools provided in their heyday. You'll also get long resonant filter sweeps as well as cool bandpass and highpass filtered waves. A special treat on this card is a group of sounds taken from Keith Emerson's personal synth instruments...massive modular analog synths whose unique sounds will add superb texture and depth to your next performance. Additionally, you'll find your all-time favorite drum machines as well as examples of rare machines for drum sounds that make you stand out from the crowd. CLASSICAL INSTRUMENTS PLUS QCard™ not currently available The 8 Megabyte Classical Instruments Plus QCard contains an extremely comprehensive collection of instrument samples for classical and orchestral composition. The high-resolution sounds on this card were painstakingly recorded and created to provide truly authentic instrument sounds that are designed for realism in performance and sequence playback. This collection begins with a wide selection of solo and ensemble strings. Every section size from small chamber groups to lush, legato orchestral sections are provided. All of the solo string samples were recorded with and without natural vibrato, performed by renowned symphonic musicians. All the families in the orchestra are included, from regal brass to warm woodwinds to harps and percussion instruments. The "Plus" in this card's title refers to the additional sounds found here, like pipe organs, choirs, synthesizer pads and piano sounds. These have been added to help out your next concerto composition or for dynamic film score orchestrations.
HIP HOP GROOVES AND INSTRUMENTS QCard™ not currently available Look no further for the coolest collection of sounds for hip hop, trip hop, R&B, swing, acid jazz, house and other urban music styles...they're all right here on the 8 Megabyte Hip-Hop Grooves & Instruments QCard. You'll find a monster library of new sounds that include hundreds of power-packed drum fills, funky breakdowns, fluid instrumental/vocal loops and slammin' grooves as well as individual samples for kick drums, snares, toms, smooth synth waves, keyboards, basses and vocals. Over 300 individual samples and loops can be accessed from this card. Several of the instrument samples and loops on this card were recorded with a stylish, purposefully "lo-fi" feel, resulting in an authentic vinyl-sample sound that's excellent for old school hip hop and acid jazz. Plus, many of the drum and synth samples were taken directly from your favorite vintage synthesizers and classic drum machines.
VINTAGE KEYBOARDS QCard™ not currently available The Alesis 8 Megabyte Vintage Keyboards QCard offers a collection of super-realistic sounds from the greatest electronic keyboard instruments from the '60s, '70s and '80s. This library of classic keyboards begins with a wide selection of authentic electric pianos... everything from warm suitcases to biting rock wurlys and smooth, rich electric grands. Of course, we also added your favorite rock organ sounds, and included important details like key click and rotating speaker effects. Each drawbar on the organ has been individually sampled so you can easily assemble the best settings for all kinds of music. Dozens of clavs, harpsichords, and combo organs are included as well as a whole bank of mellow tape-driven string and choir sounds for your next psychedelic epic. You'll even find some early digital samplers and punchy FM keyboards for that '80s pop sound. This card also provides instruments that are multisampled at several key velocities and octaves. This quality means that sounds on the Vintage Keyboards QCard maintain their authentic tonal characteristics uniformly across the keyboard during every performance.
SANCTUARY QCard™ not currently available Designed for the creation and reproduction of spiritual music for places of worship, musicians and composers, the Alesis Sanctuary QCard offers a complete collection of instrument, choral and special effect sounds for this genre. This card includes an excellent selection of organs that range from subdued electric tonewheel and combo keyboards for somber contemplation to jubilant cathedral pipe organs for exalted praise. Also included are shimmering carillon bell sounds, crystal electric pianos, orchestral sounds, choral/vocal samples (including our stellar "Amen" programs) and much more. Anyone who creates or performs sacred music will be inspired by the magnificent collection of sounds on the Sanctuary QCard. And since this card contains a full eight megabytes of sounds, you'll continue to be surprised by its sonic variety for years to come.
LATIN QCard™ not currently available Latin music combines the exciting, dynamic dance beats of today with traditional music developed over hundreds of years. Whether you're into the hot sounds of tex-mex tejano, the dance rhythms of Brazilian salsa and merengue, or classic mariachi and quebraditas songs, this card was specifically designed to give you every option for this type of world music. Hundreds of carefully-created samples are available on this card, including traditional acoustic instruments like realistic accordions, corneta, trompetas and flautas (horns and winds), strings, plenty of percussion tools like timbales, guiro and congas, even great-sounding guitaras. Also, this card contains the best synthesizer timbres and acoustic/electronic drum sounds for the newest, hottest sounds in the Latin dance music world.
