The 88-key RD-300 and the 76-key RD-250 feature Roland's revolutionary new Structured Adaptive Synthesis technology which enables them to produce amazingly realistic percussive keyboard sounds.

Eight preset SA synthesized tones are stored for instant recall, including five 16-voice poly phonic tones (three different Piano tones, Vibraphone, and Electric Piano 1), and three 10-voice polyphonic tones (Harpsichord, Clavinet, and Electric Piano 2). Both pianos feature a built-in Chorus effect, a Brilliance adjustment slider, a Tremolo effect with adjustable Rate and Depth settings, a Key Transpose function, and a special Voice Preserve function for smooth tone changes. In addition, two DP-2 Pedal Switches can be connected to either unit, one of which functions as a damper pedal, and the other functions as either a soft pedal, a sostenuto pedal, or a remote control pedal. MIDI Versatility

The RD-300 and the RD-250 feature a keyboard split that can be positioned any where on the keyboard and the upper and lower parts may be assigned separate MIDI channels. Each part has its own MIDI message transmit on/off control as well as local on/off. In addition, each part has its own External Volume Control for adjusting slave volume levels. MIDI control messages including chorus, tremolo, hold, sostenuto, and soft pedal can be transmitted or receiv ed. Prograrn change messages 0 to 127 can be transmitted and 0 to 31 can be received. The RD250 is identical to the RD200 76 key piano, but features a full weighted piano style action.
