The RY-30 is a 16 bit digital drum machine. With a 48 kHz sampling rate and digital filtering, the RY-30 features

• 15 note polyphony (plus metronome)
• 12 pads with velocity to control filter / volume / EQ / pitch
• 100 preset and 100 user programmable patterns (up to 4 measures per pattern)
• 20 songs (up to 999 measures each)
• 96 internal PCM sounds
• 4 midi note tables
• and a backlit 24 character x 2 line display.

A special data entry "wheel" allows real time control of pitch, decay, panning, filter, balance or timing of individual instruments to be varied and monitored. There are 4 assignable audio outputs, midi in / out, and tape data interface.

Additional cards allow additional PCM sounds, as well as patterns / styles.
