S30 The new Yamaha S30 synthesizer is designed for the musician who needs S-Series sonic firepower in a portable package. The 61-key S30 features aftertouch, an expandable synthesis engine and the architecture and sound of the larger Yamaha S80. The S30 provides full 64-note polyphony, 64 multi-mode resonant filters and 24MB ROM. ON-board voices include 256 presets with stereo-sampled pianos, strings, brass, as well as a complete sonic palette of other high-quality sounds. Create your own sounds (including analog-style synth sounds) and store them in any of 128 user-voice memory locations. There are also 128 user-storable performances for layers, splits and multi-timbral sequencer setups. |

Control Your Music
| Control your music with four assignable data sliders and five assignable knobs. An on-board song sequencer plays back Standard MIDI Files (SMF) from SmartMedia (TM) cards, which allow storage of up to 100 songs - including keyboard setups and chained playback. You can store entire MIDI setups in 128 user-performance memory locations for instant recall. With all this power, plus the portability, the S30 may be the perfect synthesizer for live performances. |
SmartMedia (TM) Storage
| The S30 lets you conveniently store your voices and performance setups on ultra thin and compact SmartMedia (TM) cards. As well as giving you a much larger data storage capacity than a floppy disk, SmartMedia (TM) can also be used as an external memory bank for instant access to a wider selection of sounds. |
