A sampled sound playback device, the U-110 midi module plays sounds provided in the unitUs built-in ROM or those provided on optional ROM cards. There are 14 different sounds stored in the units 16M bit ROM including acoustic piano, electric piano, vibes, marimba, choir, strings, jazz organ, bass, trumpet / trombone, sax, brass, flute, acoustic guitar, and percussion. New sounds are added via front panel card slots (4). When 4 ROM cards and the internal ROM are used together, the memory capacity is increased to 32M bits. The sounds are produced using a DC-PCM method and sampled at 32kHz. The U-110 is 1 rack space in size.

This is a multi- timbral (6 channels) with a maximum polyphony of 31 voices. There are 6 individual or stereo outputs, and stereo tremolo & chorus are included.
