VG8 V COSM GUITAR SYSTEM

The VG-8 V Guitar System places the guitar entirely within the digital domain offering a full digital guitar construction kit. Utilizing what Roland calls Composite Object Sound Modeling (COSM) technology, the VG-8 operates in two modes: Harmonic Restructure Modeling (HRM) and Variable guitar Modeling (VGM). The VGM mode lets the VG-8 emulate virtually any make or model guitar, any make or model amplifier, unlimited pickup styles and configurations,, and choice of microphones and mic placement. The VG-8 also affects an unlimited variety of pickup selections, configurations and placements for various sonic possibilities. In HRM mode, the VG8 restructures the guitar signal into new and unique sounds. All sound generation is accomplished in realtime while maintaining the playing nuances inherent to the guitar. Almost any guitar with a GK-2A pickup (not included) is used to play the VG-8. Roland is substantially expanding the VG-8 V-Guitar System's options with this easy-to-use versatile software expansion: the VG8S-1. The VG8S-1 takes Roland's proprietary COSM technology to even greater heights. VG-8 owners gain instant access to four new instrument "models," seven new pickups, three new amps, new speaker models and a slew of new parameters and features. This is in addition to the current operating system. Sixty-four killer new preset patches are added that take full advantage of these exciting new functions.
