The XPANDER is a six voice individually programmable syn thesizer, incorporating a vastly expanded new voice design with capabilities far beyond any previous electronic musical instrument. The Xpander, with its 90 VCAs, 30 LFOs, 30 Envelope Generators, 12 Oscillators, 6 Fifteen Mode filters, 6 Lag Processors, and 6 FM Processors, offers timbral possibilities never before possible with any synthesizer, analog or digital. The Xpander interfaces with any key board, guitar, or computer with MIDI or Control Voltage/Gate inputs, and is of course, the perfect addition to the Oberheim Music System. The Xpander's six voices are separately programmable, which means that each voice can have an entirely different sound. Each voice can be controlled independently from any MIDI Channel or CV input. For example, two voices can be controlled from the Oberheim DSX Digital Polyphonic Sequencer, while the other four are controlled from an MIDI keyboard . An interactive block diagram coupled with three 40 character FLUORESCENT ALPHA NUMERIC DISPLAYS make programming the Xpander very straight forward .
